No doubt you've spent time already choosing the perfect entrance and first dance song, choosing your wedding video songs is just as important! Consider the atmosphere you want to create when selecting music! Make sure you choose something that truly reflects the celebration. Is it going to be a relaxed and intimate affair? We ask our couples to pick 3-4 songs which when listened to together create build, coming together perfectly.

When it comes to thinking about the songs for your wedding film, if you're choosing a track with lyrics it's worth taking another listen and making sure the lyrics also suit the vibe you want. If you want to have a wedding film where the audio from parts of your ceremony and speeches is overlaid then it's a good idea to choose an instrumental selection of songs to be used. Lyrics are a great way to add another depth to your wedding film especially if you want to keep your vows/speeches private and not include their audio over the top.

6. TRY OUT DIFFERENT OPTIONS

Sometimes the best songs are hidden in genres you might not usually sit listening to. We aren’t suggesting you choose the infamous (extremely annoying!) song from Frozen, more that if you’re finding choosing your wedding video songs overwhelming then by all means ask your wedding videographer to go ahead and choose songs for you. When couples are struggling we like to point them first to our favourite categories of music, then to our playlist of songs we know work well for wedding videos, or we will select original audio for you based on your own preferences.
